What's Included
Exterior paint fails at the edges first, so most of our time goes into the surfaces you can't see from the street.
- Siding: wood, fiber cement, vinyl and brick
- Trim, fascia and soffits
- Front doors, garage doors and shutters
- Washing before painting
- Scraping and sanding loose paint
- Small wood-rot repairs and caulking
- Spot-priming bare wood
- Protecting plants, walkways and windows

Signs Your House Needs Repainting
Paint is your home's first defense against water and sun. Repainting before bare wood shows is far cheaper than replacing rotted siding later. Watch for:
- Peeling, cracking or blistering paint, especially on south- and west-facing walls
- A chalky residue that rubs off on your hand
- Faded or uneven color between sunny and shaded sides
- Gaps or cracked caulk around windows, doors and trim
- Bare or gray wood showing through

The Prep That Makes Exterior Paint Last
We start with a thorough wash to remove dirt, chalk and mildew. Paint won't bond to any of them. Once surfaces are dry, we scrape away loose paint, sand the edges smooth, and repair small areas of soft or rotted wood.
Bare wood gets primer, every joint gets fresh caulk, and then two coats of a premium exterior paint go on by brush, roller or sprayer, whichever gives the best finish on each surface.

Picking Exterior Colors
Start with what isn't changing: your roof, brick, stone and any HOA rules. Colors look lighter and brighter outdoors, so we paint large sample boards you can view at different times of day before committing. We'll plan the siding, trim, door and shutter colors together so everything works as one.

When to Paint
Exterior paint needs dry surfaces and temperatures within the manufacturer's range while it cures. We schedule around the forecast and never paint on wet siding or ahead of rain. Book your estimate early, because the best painting weeks fill up first.

Shutters, decorative trim and multiple colors are slower work.

Each extra color adds masking and cut-in time.

Exterior House Painting Questions
Something else on your mind? Call us at (501) 307-7730.
How long does exterior painting take?
Most homes take several days, depending on size, the amount of prep and the weather. Your estimate includes a schedule, and we'll keep you updated if rain moves things.
Do I need to be home?
No. We just need access to an outdoor water spigot and an outlet, and gates unlocked. Many customers are at work while we paint.
What happens if it rains?
We don't paint on wet surfaces or before rain. If the forecast changes, we pause and pick up again on the next dry day.
How often should a house be repainted?
Many homes need repainting every 5 to 10 years, depending on sun exposure, siding type and the quality of the last job. Good prep and premium paint push that toward the longer end.
Can you paint vinyl siding?
Yes, using vinyl-safe paint colors formulated not to warp the siding in the sun. We'll explain which colors are safe for your siding.
Do you repair rotted wood?
We fix small areas of rot as part of prep. If we find larger damage, we'll show you and quote the repair before going further.
